Company Profile

Established at Welwyn in 1969. We have grown to our present size by our attention to detail and the Directors giving their personal attention to the day to day functions of the Company. Our many years of experience enables customers to be confident in our ability to transport part or full loads, on our multi-purpose vehicles throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

Within the Royton fleet of twenty seven vehicles we have articulated vehicles at 44 TGVW towing flat and curtain sided trailers with roll back roofs.

These trailers carry loads that require lifting by crane or overhead gantry.

They have the advantage of damage free and weather protection during transportation.

Rigid vehicles from 18T and 26T GVW with curtain sides, roll back roofs are available.

Most of our vehicles, including a 26 pallet trailer,

are fitted with Ratcliff taillifts.

We also have a 26T GVW, 16 pallet taillift chilled vehicle,

for temperature sensitive items.

Smaller Vehicles are available for restricted area/poor access deliveries.

Royton's have crane vehicles which have the ability to self load and discharge machinery

or bulky items to off site locations throughout the country.

Apart from vehicles fitted with taillifts and cranes, making Royton's even more versatile,

is a 44T GVW vehicle fitted with a 2T Moffet-Kooi fork lift.

Warehousing
	Secure on site warehousing is offered for either short or long term storage. With our experienced warehouse staff ensuring that all goods are handled with care.

Our entire fleet is maintained and parked at our Welwyn premises, which is protected by a sophisticated CCTV and access control system.

This allows our customers peace of mind that their goods and our vehicles are securely stored.

All of our vehicles are equipped with in cab telephones, allowing us to be in contact with our drivers at all times.

MOT Test Centre Classes 4, 5 and 7

Over the years we realised that preparing our own vehicles for MOT tests have given our mechanics invaluable experience and knowledge of all types of vehicles. So we decided to branch out and open our own MOT Testing Station for the general public.

We carry out MOT’s on all types of cars and vans up to 3500GVW these include Petrol, Catalyst and Diesel’s. With our extensive hitech test centre this enables us to MOT Mini Buses, Stretched Limousines, Ambulances, Motor Homes. Caravanettes and Private Buses.

We are an independent MOT Test Centre, we do not sell parts or carry out repairs on customers vehicles always guaranteeing a fair test.

Class IV Cars, stretch limousines, minibuses (up to 8 Persons) Motor caravans, motor Homes and Dual purpose vehicles.


Class V Minibuses 9-12 passenger seat taxis. Ambulances up to 12 passenger seats. Private passenger vehicles and Ambulances up to 12 passenger seats. (Including Community Buses ETC.)
Class VII Goods Vehicles over 3000kg DGW up to 3500kg DGW.

We have a specially extended pit and HGV Brake Rollers that we use for HGV Vehicle Maintenance Checks

Based in Welwyn, Hertfordshire in a extensive and secure premises, we are well established and enjoy quick access to the A1(M) and the major routes M25 and M1 allowing us easy access to the whole of the UK.
